I’m on the fence about QR Codes. On the one hand, in many ways they are what education should be: both interactive and informative. The very act of bringing out a device and scanning a code that leads to some content engages the student more than even just clicking on a link (much less being handed a piece of paper). On the other hand, are they more trouble than they are worth? Are they a trendy educational tool that is awesome and cool on day 1 and then simply tiresome by day 5? I’ve not decided (and, to be honest, I’m not even sure I’m going to use them enough to decide), but here’s a great post on both what they are and how to use them in the classroom (and read the comments; there are some great ideas there, though the index card idea is not for me).
